2. Worn worm gear. Worm gears are usually made of tin bronze, and the paired worm gear material is usually hardened with 45 steel to HRC45-55, and 40C: hardened HRC50-55 is also commonly used. The worm gear is ground by a worm grinder to a roughness of RaO.8 fcm. When the reducer is working normally, the worm gear is like a hardened "file" that keeps filing the worm gear, causing it to wear out. Generally speaking, this type of wear is very slow, and some gearboxes from a certain factory can be used for more than 10 years. If the wear rate is fast, it is necessary to consider whether the selection of YTC series gear reducers is correct, whether there is overload work, the raw materials of worm gears and worms, the quality of the equipment, or the operating environment.
3. The transmission small helical gear is worn. It usually occurs on YTC series gear reducers with vertical devices, mainly related to the increase in lubricating oil and the selection of lubricating oil. When using a vertical device, it is easy to form a lack of smooth oil. When the reducer stops working, the transmission gear oil between the motor and the reducer is lost, and the gears do not receive the necessary smooth maintenance. During the starting or working process, useful smoothness is not obtained, resulting in mechanical wear and even damage. The solution is to use a gearbox cleaning and maintenance machine to clean the inside of the gearbox in a timely manner.
4. Worm bearing damaged. When the YTC series gear reducer malfunctions, even if the gearbox seal is excellent, the factory often finds that the gear oil inside the YTC series gear reducer has been emulsified, and the bearings have rusted, corroded, and damaged. This is because during the operation and shutdown of the reducer, the gear oil condenses from the water that occurs when it cools down; Of course, it is also closely related to the quality of the bearings and the technical methods of the installation.
